About Us

Our Story

Fellner Family Foundation’s story began with one couple, their love for the Lord, and their belief in Catholic education. George and Bernadine Fellner met in 1949 and started their family of six in St. Paul, Minnesota. Coming from immigrant families, George’s from Germany and Bernadine’s from Czechoslovakia, their love for their Catholic faith comforted and united them.

So, when it came time for their children to go to school, giving them a Catholic education became a priority. With George working in a tool and die shop, and Bernadine staying home to raise the kids, they understood the sacrifices that families must make for this to be a possibility.

Today, in their honor, Fellner Family Foundation’s mission is to walk alongside families as they make education a priority for their children and achieve food security and improved nutrition.
